I bought the resin kit of Avia B-135 in time when the idea of plastic kit seemed to me very improbable and left it in a shelf but later when the plastic model of Avia was released, I decided to use the resin one for the diorama. As this aircraft never flew in Czech airforce markings it was clear I'll make the what-if story. Later I saw the kit of BMW 327 with female figure and the story got its final shape: Scene depicts early summer 1940 at the moment when Czech actress arrives to see her fianceé, ace pilot of B-135 during his duty break, bringing some picnic basket.
For this diorama I used Planet resin kit of Avia B-135, Hasegava BMW 327 kit and scratched made base.
The base is made of cardboard edged with wooden strips, covered with plaster. The plaster is then painted with mixture of watercolours and white glue. Then I glued the dirt on it as underlayer for artificial grass, bushes and some leaves I made myself of roots and paper. I left some patches without grass as tire marks.
The figure of actress is from the mentioned BMW 327 kit, I just changed the suggested colour of the dress. Pilot is the altered Eduard's Russian officer figure.
The basket is a scratchbuild and to make it easier, I left it closed with the lid, only some vine bottle did not fit inside. The spread is made of moisted and painted paper.
